Ariel Xiong is the Food Hub Director at Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA).
Ariel was born in Winona, MN but raised in the Twin cities. She has always had an interest in agriculture as a child from her experience with farming and gardening with her grandparents in Winona to selling produce, eggrolls, and spring rolls at the Saint Paul Farmers Market for the past 15 years. In 2021 Ariel started off as a Packing Assistant at HAFA and in that short time, found a deeper passion in social justice and advancing health equity for Hmong, immigrant and BIPOC community. In her free time she truly enjoys learning more about the Hmong culture and spending time with her 3 cats.
We are dedicated to advancing the prosperity of Hmong farmers through cooperative endeavors, capacity building and advocacy. HAFA was started and is led by family farmers. Organizing is in our DNA.
