Ken Her is HAFA’s Farm Organizer. Ken was born and raised in the Twin Cities area and spent 8 years in the MN Army National Guard as a combat medic. During this time, he was also deployed for 1 year overseas. After returning home, Ken worked at various emergency departments across the metro area hospitals while he returned to Metro State University to finish his degree. Aside from his educational and professional life, Ken enjoys hiking and skiing, and currently lives with his girlfriend, and a chunky pet cat named Samus.
We are dedicated to advancing the prosperity of Hmong farmers through cooperative endeavors, capacity building and advocacy. HAFA was started and is led by family farmers. Organizing is in our DNA.
