Thank you!
HAFA is working on a two part, $5.22 million capital campaign that begins with raising funds to buy the HAFA Farm (Phase 1), and then raising additional funds to build a year round, washing, curing and cooling facility and office space on the HAFA Farm (Phase 2)!
With your assistance and support from the 2021 Cultivating the Future event in November, HAFA has met our goal in achieving our vision of purchasing the HAFA Farm! Stay tuned as we look to finally make the HAFA Farm our own this upcoming 2022 season.
The Hearth & Home of Operations
For the last 5 years, we have operated extensively out of the HAFA Farm. The HAFA Farm is truly the core and heart of our operations. Securing the HAFA Farm would ensure that we can continue to access and build upon our foundations. At HAFA, we strive to better and improve each and every day. Securing the HAFA Farm would play a critical role in the growth of our programs.
Sustaining an Agricultural Legacy
Securing the HAFA Farm would truly secure long-term land access for our Hmong farming members. Acquisition of long-term access goes hand in hand with our vision to secure intergenerational wealth and preserve the rich, cultural history of Hmong agricultural traditions. Furthermore, these factors all will continue to contribute to the importance and legacy of Hmong farmers and their essential roles in our local Minnesotan food communities.
